Entrainment and Therapeutic Sound

One key aspect of therapeutic sound, also known as sound healing, is entrainment. This is the tendency for two oscillating bodies to lock into phase so that they vibrate in harmony. Also, an incoherent tone will tend to entrain to a coherent tone.

So, let's say that you are using a tuning fork or a whistle. This would be considered a coherent tone, especially if the device puts out a known beneficial frequency like 528Hz. This gives the cells and energy fields of your body a coherent frequency to resonate with which eliminates dissonance.

One of my favorite therapeutic sound devices is the Love Tuner. It produces a 528Hz frequency and is easy to use.

As a side note, It’s believed (by me and others) that harmful disease-causing pathogens or organisms can be killed in the human body by applying the right frequency. This is the basis for Rife machines.
